Who I am

Hi I'm Brandon, a Senior Software Engineer and AWS Solutions Architect with 6+ years of experience spanning full-stack development, DevOps, platform engineering, and cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP. I hold professional certifications across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and I'm a subject matter expert in cloud-native application development, infrastructure-as-code, and Generative AI.

In 2019 I made the daring decision to attend a 6-month intensive coding bootcamp rather than going to a traditional 4-year university. At the time it seemed like a crazy idea, but I knew that I was passionate about coding and knew that I could learn quickly if given the right instruction and environment. Fast forward to today, and I've been fortunate enough to work at some incredible companies ranging from small startups to Fortune 500 enterprises.

Today I focus on the kind of work that makes a measurable difference: building AI-first developer tooling, architecting scalable and resilient systems, making data useful through centralization and semantic layering, embedding security into every layer of the full stack, and creating systems of delivery so developers can keep shipping with confidence. I care deeply about engineering culture: structured mentorship, enforcing best practices across organisations, and driving the kind of improvements that stick long after the project ends.
