About Me

Hi I'm Brandon, a Senior Software and DevOps Engineer with over 6 years of experience building production-level software. Currently I work out of the ever-sunny Phoenix, AZ area. My specialty is Cloud Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD, but I have extensive experience writing both front-end UIs and back-end application code.

In 2019 I made the daring decision to attend a 6-month intensive coding bootcamp rather than going to a traditional 4-year university. At the time it seemed like a crazy idea, but I knew that I was passionate about coding and knew that I could learn quickly if given the right instruction and environment. Fast forward to today, and I've been fortunate enough to work at some incredible companies ranging from small startups to large enterprises.

As of now I'm currently working towards a Staff+ IC role as a Solutions Architect. I care deeply about DX especially when it comes to DevOps automation and writing infrastructure-as-code. My goal no matter what company I'm working at is to make developers' lives easier by enabling them to ship code faster and run production systems more reliably.

Designed and implemented several key features end-to-end for a large-scale internal data streaming application.
Made key contributions in a large-scale cloud migration converting an application to multi-region.
Ensured high code quality and best practices for cloud infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation.
